Extraordinary vintage 1920s tiered lame opera cape with rabbit fur collar and lined in panne silk velvet. The lame has an oriental themed multicoloured pattern with dominant hues of purple, teal, blue and black and is fully pleated. Beautifully constructed with under layers of silk chiffon with lame and velvet trim. Entirely original and in excellent antique condition with no alterations, there has been some colour bleed from the lame on to the chiffon especially on the bottom layer, however this cannot be seen when it is worn. There is also a small discoloured patch in the velvet which again is on the inside and not noticeable when worn. We can provide further photos of this is required. Will fit a variety of sizes up to a US 8/ UK 12 and will hang open if any bigger. Closes with a hook and eye at the neckline.
